HIP HOP SAVES LIVES, COCODY PRODUCTIONS AND AFRO-POP WORLDWIDE present “AFRO-HOP”
Afro-Hop launches at the Smyth in Tribeca 85 west b’way May 25, from 7pm- 10pm

AfroHop is a new African focused cocktail party held monthly to bring the latest African hip hop, pop, reggae and soul music to the American market. It will be driven by hot DJ sets around artist releases and performances. It will include special themes and partnerships, such as African country nights, alliances with charities, museums, and media.
The inaugural event includes an appearance by Ghana’s Blitz The Ambassador and the release and listening of his new album “NATIVE SUN”.
Blitz’s work has earned him a place on Beyond Race Magazine’s “50 Emerging Artists” list and recognition by hip hop icons The Roots, Talib Kweli and Public Enemy.
