2011 is coming

Long time no speak…we at HIP HOP SAVES LIVES  are working on a lot of new projects and we have BIG plans for the new yr!!!!

Starting with our campaign ‘A SONG A DAY TO END EXTREME POVERTY’ We will be releasing a song a day mon-fri for the year. All songs will be based on good news stories from around the world. Why? Firstly because good news stories don’t enough press. Secondly to inject inspiration into your life on the daily!

We also have an event on JAN 12th in remembrance of the Haitian quake that happened a year ago to that date. Featuring OKAI w/brown rice family Yes its already been a year but I’m sure its seems like 10 to the people in Haiti.
Lets stand for eradicating extreme poverty. Lets give more than ever this year and bless our lives and well as the receivers!

Anandi will be working with HHSL in website support and also writing our monthly newsletter and who knows what else this lil genius has up her sleeve! We are so excited to have her amazing support and efforts!!

Ana just got news that her work visa has been approved through HHSL’S. She is officially working with us and will be heading our video and editing dept!

Look out for our long awaited show REBEL MUSIC finally debuting this year!

HERE WE GO AGAIN

ladies and gents, the time has come for the much needed rest to end. i must return to nyc!!! i have learned much here in wash dc. things i would not trade for anything. some business and many personal…i have a new outlook and a new found energy that will take hip hop saves lives above and beyond what i had dreamed…God is good my friends and i plan to spread the love that i have have received…our current mission is so vast i can even explain at this moment…our 501c3 is getting closer so we can begin to aquire grants to service the needs of many…partnerships have been built and visions have seen the light…stay with us on this journey, the ride is going to be FASCINATING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i went to the common concert last night and that guy is a beast…i havent seen him perform since electic circus which wasnt my favorite time for him but last night was crazyyyyy…big up to the original chi-town b.boy…ya boy did the windmill on stage…u read it right the windmill!!!!…i got new respect for that kid…i’m headed to nyc tomorrow night or first thing on friday…have to hit the studio to finish up 2 remixes!!!!…keep ya fingers crossed, i know they are going to be banging…nas has a concert in philly friday, ima try to sneak over there to check him out…we shall see…once the music is done i will be working day and night sending mass emails all over the world of the maxie single BE THE CHANGE…i want the world to hear this message and then return the gift buy buying t-shirts to help save the kids in AFRICA…I ROLLING WITH GOD  so i know is going down…stay wit me people

good morning, nice to see you, how ya been…lyrics for a lenny kravitz song…thats how i feel this morning…fresh and ready to go…i’m loving dc and making fantastic contacts to finally get HIP HOP SAVES LIVES TV off the groung…good stuff people…the right people are stepping in my path at the right time…GOD IS GOOD…GOD IS GREAT AND WE THANK HIM FOR OUR FOOD AMEN…lol…remember that…that was so we could get to eatin’ quick…i gotta run the gym is calling and there is much work to do…headed to NYC this weekend to finish i hope the remix with tupac and the world remix…hold me down shorty

WERE GETTING THERE!

Today i recieved an email from a good friend of mine named dj Jmimi…he is a really big house music dj in nyc…i sent him the club version from my friend daniel last night and he said he really liked it alot…he is in miami working tonight and said that he would play it as part of his set!!! and also when he gets back to nyc he would also play it there…GREAT NEWS!!!!…thanks for the love Jmimi…i got ur back too my friend…also i was just taking a nap and a pastor that i met when flying to Pheonix for the NBA allstar weekend called me and said that he had went to my site and really liked the work that we are doing for Africa!!!…he has a monthly news letter that goes out to 2,000 people and wanted to included us in his April issue!!!…more good news my friends, we are getting there, we are getting there…slow and steady wins the race so stay focus and KEEP ON RIDING!!!

TODAY IS MY GRANDFATHER’S BIRTHDAY, MARCH 3RD. I WAS SO YOUNG WHEN HE PASTED I HAVE ALMOST NO MEMORY OF THE GREAT MAN BUT I KNOW HE WAS SHINING HIS LIGHT ON ME TODAY!!! I JUST KNEW I HAD SOMETHING EXTRA GOOD GOING ON WITH ME…THX GRANDDAD, I HEARD I’M ALOT LIKE YOU…I’M GETTING WATER EYED SO IMA RUN FOLKS

i am happy to annouce that i just recieved 3 different house versions of the single BE THE CHANGE from a dj friend of mine named daniel from nyc…another great addition to the work of this campaign…thank you so much daniel…my dear friend francesca in italy is also working on her remix and it just keeps growing and growing..i thank GOD…its moving everyday…many small steps make one giant step…walk with me

Today the DAILY NEWS which has 3.5 million daily readers featured me and hip hop saves lives in their paper…check out the money section page 5 and you will see my pic and info about our work!!! Its a long time coming folks…we are getting the word out…i’m grinnin’ from ear to ear…i wish i had a megaphone to holla to the whole world…on another note, mos def is also preforming tonight in dc…i will be down there giving out cd’s promoting the single to keep the biz growing…thx for all the love and support peeps…i promise we’re coming
